Final men’s perfect bracket busts with Tennessee’s 79-72 win over Virginia
The final perfect bracket has fallen.
No. 6 Tennessee’s 79-72 win against No. 3 Virginia in the NCAA tournament second round eliminated the only remaining perfect bracket: “christienter” in ESPN’s game. The last bracket made it to the 44th game of the tournament — one game further than last year and the best run since Gregg Nigl got the first 49 games correct in 2019.
We started March Madness tracking around 36 million brackets in the major online games (Men’s Bracket Challenge Game, ESPN, CBS, Yahoo!, USA Today, Sports Illustrated and Kalshi). We estimated more than 14,000 brackets were left after Thursday’s 16 games and then 224 still perfect after the first round ended on Friday. We then lost all but four brackets after Saturday’s eight games.
