11 Southern California golfers set to tee off at APGA at El Dorado

Second of three pro golf tournaments in the APGA Farmers Insurance® Fall Series; All three events open to any pro men’s golfer.
The Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour will host the second of three tournaments in the 2026 APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series as the 36-hole APGA at El Dorado will be played Monday, September 28 – Wednesday, September 30 at El Dorado Park Golf Course in Long Beach, California.
The APGA at El Dorado is the 12th of 15 tournaments on the 2026 APGA Tour schedule. The tournament champion will receive $10,000.
The player field includes the following Southern California natives:
- Andrew Fernandes: Long Beach Wilson High School graduate. Lakewood, California native, Cerritos resident and Cal State Dominguez Hills product won his first APGA Tour title in July at the Michael Eaves Classic & Celebrity Pro-Am at TPC Louisiana. Led the Long Beach Wilson golf team to the CIF finals for the first time in the school’s history, as well as four straight league titles.
- John Chin (Temecula): Played at 2024 U.S. Open: First-team All-American at UC Irvine.
- David Kim (Anaheim): U.C. Irvine (Big West Conference Play of the Year in 2017)
- Ivan Barahona (Van Nuys): Played at Long Beach State; Crespi High School (Three-time All-League, Daily News All-Area team)
- Jonathan Kang (Santa Clarita): Golden Valley High School (three-time Foothill League MVP), UC Irvine grad, previously an assistant golf coach at The Master’s University in Santa Clarita.
- Troy Kuramarohit (Canoga Park): Crespi High School grad.
- Rovonta Young (Rancho Cucamonga): Won APGA Tour at World Golf Village title in 2021, Former MVP of men’s golf team at Alabama A & M, Las Osos high School grad.
- Art Thompson (Reseda): Home course is Encino Golf Course
- Isaiah Kim (Porter Ranch): Three-year member of Van Nuys High School golf team, freshman at Cal State San Bernardino
- Joseph Brunson (Glendale): Golfer/commercial actor/sports/leisure model
- Michael Lascari (La Habra Heights): 2015 Whittier Daily News Player of the Year at La Habra Heights High School

The APGA at El Dorado is the second of three APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series events. The APGA at El Dorado follows the APGA at Mission Hills, which concluded in Rancho Mirage, California on Sept. 16, and precedes the APGA at Cedar Crest (October 25-27, Cedar Crest Golf Course, Dallas, Texas). The APGA Farmers Insurance Fall Series is in its sixth year and each of these full-field events are open to any professional men’s golfer regardless of APGA Tour membership.
