During the 25 year history of the Collision All Star Games, featuring student/athletes representing the CIF Los Angeles City Section against the CIF Southern Section in girls and boys basketball showcase, the event has never dedicated the event to a living individual.
That will change on April 11, 2026 when Collision returns to St. Bernard High School in Playa de Rey as it will celebrate NBA legend LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In 2024 Collision paid tribute the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant with custom Lakers themed uniforms, T-shirts and announcements during the games at Lawndale Leuzinger High School.

The event will honor James with uniforms designed to represent all of the NBA teams that he played on and won championships, Cleveland Cavaliers where it all began, Miami where he won two NBA titles and his current team the Lakers where he also captured a title.
“When I lived in Cleveland and covered the Cavs during his second stint with the team and I just grew enamored with everything that he represents as an athlete, husband, father, son and businessman. He is the most consequential Black athlete since Muhammad Ali in my opinion,” stated Kenneth Miller, Founder/Director of Collision All Stars Games.

Miller says that he plans on reaching out to the NBA teams for which James planned to inform them but emphasized that he is not seeking any sponsorship or support from anyone.
