Keyshawn Johnson Has Questions

Seven Days Later: Keyshawn Johnson Has Questions. USC Has a Chance to Answer Them.

By Jason Burrell | South Bay Black Journal

LOS ANGELES — Seven days ago, USC proved it could compete with Oregon.

Today we find out whether it learned from losing to them.

The numbers from the 41-27 loss tell part of the story. Oregon produced 504 yards, including 366 through the air. The Ducks converted six of 12 third downs, while USC managed just two of 11.

But one word from safety Christian Pierce interested me most afterward: miscommunication.

Pierce used it when discussing USC’s problems on the back end against Oregon tight end Jamari Johnson, who finished with seven catches for 119 yards.

Now comes Washington.

The Huskies bring another receiving threat in Dezmen Roebuck, their statistical leader with 30 receptions for 308 yards entering Saturday. That makes this more than another test of USC’s talent.

You can call it miscommunication once. Let it happen again, and now you’ve got a problem.

Former USC star Keyshawn Johnson was critical of the Trojans this week, but eventually reduced the conversation to what matters now:

“Move on to the Huskies and see if we could figure out how to beat.”

Today is payday!

It has been 7days. Let’s see what the Trojans have learned?
