BOLTS CLOSE OUT PRESEASON
The Los Angeles Chargers play the final contest of 2026 preseason against the Los Angeles Rams on Thurs., Aug. 27. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium is at 7:00 p.m. PT. Noah Eagle, Dan Fouts and Jaime Maggio have the call on CBS LA, while Matt “Money” Smith, Daniel Jeremiah and Shannon Farren will broadcast on the Chargers Radio Network airwaves on KFI AM-640. Adrian Garcia-Marquez and Francisco Pinto will present the game in Spanish on Latino Mix 103.9/89.3 FM and TUDN Los Angeles 101.9 FM-HD3.
The Chargers enter the third season with Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, who continued his winning track record with the team in 2025, leading the Bolts to a second- straight year with an 11-6 record and a postseason berth. Quarterback Justin Herbert continued to set records, this time for completions through the first six seasons of a career (2,285). In the passing game, wide receiver Quentin Johnston led the team with eight touchdowns for the second consecutive season. The team had five players — Herbert, Joe Alt, Cameron Dicker, Derwin James Jr., and Tuli Tuipulotu — named to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, while James was also named a second-team All-Pro selection by The Associated Press at slot cornerback and linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips was an AP second-team All-Pro at special teamer. The Rams are led by Head Coach Sean McVay, who enters his 10th season at the helm. The offense features quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is the reigning Most Valuable Player, along with wide receiver Davante Adams.
The defense showcases a pair of new acquisitions in defensive end Myles Garrett, who is the NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year, and cornerback Trent McDuffie. The Chargers begin the regular season with a pair of home games at SoFi Stadium, playing Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals and Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
