Celebrating Entrepreneurs and Community Resilience

October Highlights: Celebrating Entrepreneurs and Community Resilience
October was a milestone month for LISC LA, celebrating innovation, growth, and community impact across multiple signature events.
On October 10, LISC LA hosted the Fueling Emerging Entrepreneurs (FEE) Culminating Event powered by BMO, where eight finalists pitched their businesses before a live audience. The event featured a keynote by Blitzscaling co-author Chris Yeh and a grant ceremony honoring the 2025 $5K winners, Sivil, Nxmotive, A1 Academics, Azadi Health, StartHER TV, Aqua Equity, Duck Punk Productions, and WattsUp EV, for their creativity and impact.
Earlier in the month, the ASCEND LA 2025 Graduation Ceremony at LMU Playa Vista recognized a dynamic cohort of diverse, procurement-ready entrepreneurs, with remarks from leaders at LMU, the Office of Mayor Karen Bass, AECOM, and Clark Construction.
LISC LA also continues to expand its national footprint through The Coramino Fund with Kevin Hart, Juan Domingo Beckmann, and Gran Coramino® Tequila, now in its third round, supporting over 150 small businesses with $10,000 grants and AI training.
To close the month, LISC LA celebrated the conclusion of its Asset Building for Communities (ABC) program, funded by Wells Fargo, which delivered $15 million in low-cost capital and 5,000 hours of technical assistance to help 850 entrepreneurs stabilize and grow.
Together, these milestones reflect LISC LA’s ongoing mission to fuel entrepreneurship, equity, and sustainable economic progress across Los Angeles.
