Serra to be featured on CIF-SS/Spectrum GOW

LOS ALAMITOS – The CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Spectrum Networks as the exclusive linear provider of the CIF-SS-Ford Game of the Week.

“Our partnership with Spectrum Networks continues to provide an outstanding platform for showcasing the very best of education-based athletics in the CIF Southern Section,” stated CIF-SS Commissioner of Athletics Mike West. “We are proud to work alongside Spectrum Networks to bring these memorable moments to student-athletes, families, and fans throughout Southern California.”

Beginning with the Week 0 football game between Chaparral and Mission Viejo on August 21, CIF-SS and Spectrum Networks will deliver 21 televised events, highlighting some of the best student-athletes in the country.

Spectrum Networks will televise the CIF-SS-Ford Game of the Week across multiple networks throughout Southern California, with games airing on Spectrum News 1 and either Spectrum SportsNet or Spectrum SportsNet LA. Spectrum News 1 is available to Spectrum customers on channel 1 and via the Spectrum News App on mobile, as well as on Xumo Stream Box, Roku, and Apple TV streaming devices. Spectrum SportsNet and SportsNet LA are carried throughout Southern California via Spectrum TV and DirecTV.

Spectrum SportsNet is also available to Cox customers in select Southern California communities and Las Vegas.

The games are part of the CIF-SS agreement with the NFHS Network, which will produce the games airing on Spectrum Networks’ linear platforms while also providing live streaming on its network at www.nfhsnetwork.com.

In addition to the 16-week football schedule, “Game of the Week” coverage will also include the Girls Division 1 Volleyball Championships, four basketball finals (Boys and Girls Open Divisions and Boys and Girls Division 1). 

The first four weeks of the football schedule broadcasts are as follows:

August 21 at 7 p.m. PT Chaparral at Mission Viejo Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum SportsNet 

August 28 at 7 p.m. PT Santa Margarita at Centennial/Corona Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum SportsNet 

September 4 at 7 p.m. PT Serra/Gardena at Los Alamitos Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum SportsNet 

September 11 at 7 p.m. PT Damien at Tustin Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum SportsNet 

The games for Week 4 and 5 will be announced by September 7, and selection of games will continue in two-week increments to provide the best possible weekly matchups.
