United Against Hate Care Breakfast and Ribbon Cutting

This week, Confluence Rising hosted our 3rd annual United Against Hate Community Care Breakfast, bringing together leaders from LA vs HateThe LGBTQ Center Long Beach, the City of Long Beach Human Dignity Program, and the City of Los Angeles Civil Rights Department for a powerful panel discussion on hate prevention and intervention moderated by Executive Director, Reena Hajat Carroll. Following the panel, we were joined by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate a new chapter in our organization’s journey — officially unveiling our new name, Confluence Rising. We were honored to share this milestone with Councilmember Megan Kerr and representatives from the offices of Supervisor Janice HahnMayor Rex RichardsonAssemblymember Josh Lowenthal, and Senator Lena Gonzalez, and to receive a certificate of recognition from Congressman Robert Garcia. Together, we continue our work to build communities where everyone can live free of hate and thrive.
