Lincoln Cemetery FAQ Update

Date:

Many of you have inquired about the unannounced closure of Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery this past summer and may be wondering about the status of our community’s interest in the Cemetery now that it no longer operates under a licensed owner.

I’m writing to make sure you are the first to know that the CA Department of Consumer Affairs’ Cemetery and Funeral Bureau (CFB) has posted an FAQdocument that updates us on the current status of Lincoln, along with what to expect going forward.

FAQ Update

It has been just over two months since the cemetery license was cancelled. CFB’s FAQ explains what this means in specific terms, from a legal perspective. The FAQ also addresses the status of the Lincoln plot map and temporary cemetery management options for those who know that they or their loved ones will utilize this cemetery in the future or currently lie in rest here. CFB’s information is a full update of what we know at this point.

I am continuing to explore all possible avenues that will expedite our path to license operations at the Lincoln Cemetery and I am advocating personally for our community.

Please share the FAQ with those who have an interest in this historic site.

I would like to thank all community members for their continued support your feedback.

My staff is always open to hearing from you. If you have any questions, contact my district office at (310) 324-6408.

Thank you,
