Mohammad Naser, CEO of Centinela Hospital Medical Center, recently announced that the hospital continues to garner awards for their clinical quality. Most recently, the hospital was recognized as one of the “best hospitals” in the United States by U.S. News & World Report, based on objective quality measures.
That acknowledgement was just after another important study from the Lown Institute that placed Centinela Hospital Medical Center among America’s most socially responsible hospitals, a metric derived from measuring clinical outcomes, patient safety, inclusivity, pay equity, community benefit, avoiding overuse, cost efficiency, and patient satisfaction. In addition to receiving an “A” in Social Responsibility, they also received “A” grades in Patient Safety, Health Equity, Value of Care, community Benefit and Inclusivity.
In addition, on August 1st, the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services recognized Centinela Hospital as a STEMI Receiving Center which means they are an official receiving center for patients with heart attacks. They have the technology, facility, highly trained medical staff, expert cardiac catheterization laboratory staff, and specialty physicians to rapidly diagnose and treat heart attack patients. The hospital also earned the “Get With the Guidelines Gold Plus Achievement for Heart Failure and Stroke and Target Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.”
Additionally, beyond the national “100 Top Hospital” designation, Leapfrog A safety grade and Healthgrades clinical quality and safety recognition, these accolades validate the healing and life-saving work that is performed at the hospital each day and their dedication to ensuring critical healthcare access for the Inglewood and adjacent community.
CEO Naser thanked everyone for their contributions that make a difference and acknowledged that these notable achievements are only possible because of the dedication exhibited by all the hospital’s team members and reflect their daily efforts. He ended his announcement by thanking them for all they do in making Centinela Hospital Medical Center among the best hospitals in the nation.
