Dear CBM Family, 

I regret to share the heartbreaking news that Joe  Hopkins, the esteemed attorney, Pasadena community leader, and co-founder of Pasadena Journal, has passed away. He passed late last night, leaving us deeply saddened by the loss.

We are currently working with Mr. Hopkin’s family to gather additional details, and we will provide further information as it becomes available.

CBM is committed to honoring Joe Hopkins and his remarkable legacy. We will be publishing a comprehensive story that celebrates his life and highlights the profound impact he and Pasadena Journal have had on the Black Press and the broader community.

Mr. Hopkin’s contributions will forever be remembered and cherished. Our thoughts are with his family, loved ones, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
